Tips for flying from Atlanta
- Pick the earlier flight for the long drives. In winter, the morning flight (landing about 12:45 p.m., or 11:20 a.m. on Saturdays) leaves the most daylight for Nosara or Sámara.
- Connecting through Atlanta works all year. With at least one Liberia flight a day, it's the backup when your own city's nonstop is seasonal or weekly.
- Allow for lines. Gate to curb usually takes 30 to 90 minutes, but on high-season Saturdays and Sundays, when several flights land in the early afternoon, allow 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
- Heading home? The airport asks you to arrive 3 hours before an international flight, so plan your last night within easy reach of Liberia.
